Failure Analysis Engineer

We are looking for high-skilled Failure Analysis Engineer eager to work in a global automotive technology leader. A large automotive multinational company, based in the Electronics campus in Valls, (Tarragona, Spain).

Passionate about Quality and industrial automotive engineering and interested in electronics and new technologies.

LEAR VALLS  is looking for a Technical Role focused on customer satisfaction by  reproducing the customer complaints, determining of the root cause of the failure (if needed in corporation with external research laboratories or in cooperation with Tier2 suppliers), collaborating on defining effective corrective actions that eliminate the repetition of the failure and elaborating the preparation of the corresponding technical reports.

Responsibilities:

• Testing and Failure Analysis of parts returned by customers, following problem-solving methods.
• Generate Failure Analysis Reports of the parts analyzed, with all possible evidence taken.
• Generate & update the Analysis procedures needed to analyze the rejections covering the customer requirements and Lear standards.
• Overall Customer quality goals accomplishment. Focus on product and service satisfaction.
• Support customers and take part in task forces for critical issues.

• University degree with electronics, electrical or telecommunications background.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Microsoft Office tools knowledge
• Quality tools knowledge (8D, Ishikawa diagram, others).
• Written and spoken fluently in Spanish & English.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience with working in the automotive field would be a plus.
